Salvage manoeuvres to refloat and remove MV EN MAY from its current position commenced today at 09:45 hrs LT. The vessel has been removed from the bridge pillar, so navigation is expected to be restored shortly. The vessel is scheduled to proceed to Piapsa berth for the necessary repairs.
Additionally, a bathymetric survey has been conducted to provide a preliminary assessment of the channel conditions. Once the channel is cleared, the intention is to restore navigation at the earliest opportunity.
