The Suez Canal Authority has announced new regulations offering special incentives for yachts staying at the newly developed “Suez Canal Yachts Marina” in Ismailia, Egypt.
Under the new regulations, yachts with a Suez Canal Gross Tonnage (SC.G.T) of less than 300 tons, staying for 10 days or more, will be exempt from regular Suez Canal transit dues and berthing fees.
Granting yachts wishing to be stored (wintered) at Ismailia a discount on berthing and storing (wintering) fees as follows:
- 50% discount in the levied berthing fees in case of storing (wintering) for a period ranging from 30 to 90 days.
- 70% discount in the levied berthing fees in case of storing (wintering) for a period ranging from 90 to 180 days.
The new circular comes into force from 15th October 2023 until 1st November 2023 and is applicable to yachts transiting the Suez Canal in both directions.
